New coffee from JavaGenesis-Tanzania Peaberry:
Normally the fruit (“cherry”) of the coffee plant contains two seeds (“beans”) that develop with flattened facing sides, but sometimes only one of the two seeds is fertilized, and the single seed develops with nothing to flatten it. This oval (or pea-shaped) bean is known as peaberry. Typically around 5% of all coffee beans harvested are of this form. We roast our Tanzania Peaberry medium/dark. Drink it hot and it has a buttery taste on the front end and a grapefruit tartness for the finish. Drink it iced for a refreshing summer treat. (I really love this one iced!) This coffee is also great for households that have one person who loves dark roast and another that likes medium roast. It will satisfy both!
Due to the holiday, Great Harvest Bakery will not be offering their breads this week.
