News:Cream and Butter available

This post expired on August 28, 2023.

Cream Available This Weekend

Mountain Fresh Creamery will have pints of low temp pasteurized cream available for ordering this weekend! They are not sure when they will do another cream run and only have 20 pints available. Order early so you don’t miss out!

Grass Fed Butter Available

Mountain Valley Farm will have Grass Fed Butter on the market this weekend. We order from them every other week.

This is a naturally rich butter made from low temp pasteurized cream. The butterfat does not separate into solids and “water” as it does in commercially made butter. You will definitely notice the difference, especially in the flavor.

Mountain Valley Farm www.grassfedgeorgia.com takes great pride in the way they raise their animals – No Hormones, No Antibiotics, No Steroids, No Pesticides, No Synthetic Fertilizers. They are raised on pasture and in the woods in a stress free environment.

Salted and unsalted butter will be listed.

Goat Milk

The goats are getting ready for kidding season and they are slowly drying out. This means a temporary reduction in availability until end of September. Rusty will list what he thinks will be available on Tuesday. Since he milks right before he delivers there might be the possibility of some orders not being filled. He will fill orders on a first order, first serve basis. This is not ideal situation for Rusty but he needs to take care of his “girls” and the soon to be baby goats. In October he have plenty of milk to spare!

Sprouts ?

Are you interested in purchasing sprouts on the co-op market? If so, please let me know. We have the opportunity to get Daikon Radish, Mung Bean, Broccoli, Wheat Grass, and Sunflower sprouts grown 3-1/4 coconut fiber cups. The grower also has all natural fertilizers and worm castings.

I would like to make sure we have enough interest before the grower lists on our market website.

The market will open up tomorrow morning (Friday) for ordering and close at 5pm on Sunday.

We thank you for your interest and support of our efforts to bring you the healthiest, the freshest and the most delicious locally-produced foods possible!
