This post expired on November 08, 2023.

Group Order: Grass Fed Butter

We will have our group order for Grass Fed Butter from Mountain Valley Farm in Elijay, GA this weekend! We will have a group order for butter every 3 months so please keep that in mind when you order.

This is a naturally rich butter made from low temp pasteurized cream. The butterfat does not separate into solids and “water” as it does in commercially made butter. You will definitely notice the difference, especially in the flavor.

Mountain Valley Farm www.grassfedgeorgia.com takes great pride in the way they raise their animals – No Hormones, No Antibiotics, No Steroids, No Pesticides, No Synthetic Fertilizers. They are raised on pasture and in the woods in a stress free environment.

Salted and unsalted butter will be listed.

Mona from Far East Herb Company is offering 25% Medicinal Herbs for the next 2 weeks! If you’ve wanted to try these amazing formulas now is the time. The best way to arm oneself from the assault of the cold/flu season is to first and foremost to keep the immune system active and running efficiently. This is done through providing key nourishment that will keep it running at its optimal level. The next is to make sure it is not overburdened with excess toxins (diet, viruses, environmental). The BodiCleanse formula best addresses nourishment as well as removal of toxic buildup. It is known for its abilities to dispel colds, strengthen the body, as well as tones the internal organs restoring them to optimal function. This formula was originally composed by the great Han-dynasty physician Zhang Zhong-Jing and used to treat a wide spectrum of illnesses and addresses weak constitutions.
Instructions for brewing the tea as well as creating a tincture from the herbal formula are included.

How to prepare medicinal herbs
Preparation: Decoction is the traditional method. Boil over low flame one tsp. of herb and enough water to immerse for 10-15 minutes. Strain and serve warm. Best if taken between meals.

Alternate Preparation Methods:
Boil several portions of herbs as per quantities specified on package and store in tight jar for 3 – 5 days. Add a tablespoon to water and drink as needed.

Another option is to create a tincture by mixing 50% of herb with 50% grain alcohol (80 -100 proof). Wait six weeks and strain. Take one dropper full or 1 ml per day or as needed.

Mona’s Personal Experience with Medicinal Herbs

Mona’s Personal Experience with formula: Most recently I was plagued with a virus that attacked my lymphatic system. My nodes were about the size of a golf ball and ran the full length of my right side of my body. Needless to say it was very painful and concerning. I quickly started a strict regimen on the BodiCleanse and DisolvaTox to clear out this virus and took InflammaAid as needed for pain and inflammation. Within 10 days the glands had shrunk back down and I was feeling better. Although the major symptoms were gone, I knew that not everything was back to normal as there was a strange rash that developed on the side of my face which indicated that there was still toxin in my system. I stayed on BodiCleanse for another month and began to feel much better.

Below is some background information on myself and how I ended up in the natural health field and how herbs have played a role in my life.

My journey in the natural health care field was one born of necessity. It began about 18 years ago when I was stricken with a staph infection that left me teetering between life and death. In a matter of hours it had gone from a small needle size bump to spreading throughout my body and a diagnosis of a blood infection. While being pumped full of antibiotics, I would experience the solemn face of the infectious disease doctor who said at best I would be left with a deformity where the bacteria had invaded which would leave me with a hole about the size of a cantaloupe on my right leg. The urgency of the matter did not dawn on me until I was asked to write a will.

By some miracle I was able to manage to beat this infection, but over time it would latter return appearing at various locations throughout my body. By recognizing it early I was able to keep it under control by running to the doctors for more antibiotics. After fighting it for a couple of years it seemed like the battle was won. The problem was that I felt just awful and was having trouble getting through my day. I suffered with daily brain fog, exhaustion, aches all over and a feeling like I was walking in quick sand. I began to develop severe acid reflux to the point that I couldn’t keep anything down and lost well over twenty pounds in one month. The doctors could not help me and to be honest I was growing desperate as my body went it a malnourished state. I was a third of the person I used to be and had difficulty getting out of bed.

My will to survive kicked in as I trudged from one natural food store to another voraciously reading every health food book that I could get my hands on. After much detective work it all started coming together as to why I was prone to these staph infections and not functioning at my optimal level. It began to dawn on me that with the steady antibiotic use not only during the time I was hospitalized, but also during my childhood that Candida had taken over my body.

I began following a strict anti-Candida diet to kill off the excess yeast learning to ferment my own vegetables and culture kefir to add the good probiotics back to my gut flora. It was a long and arduous journey as most healing is. Although my health improved considerably, I still felt there was much to learn and began studying Ann Wigmore’s teachings about the Raw and Living foods lifestyle.

The idea of using food to cleanse the body interested me and I pursued certification in Raw and Living food preparation as well as studied the different therapies of detoxification. That knowledge was invaluable as it added another piece to the puzzle. I began to consult with clients and share this new found information and offer detox services in my day spa and wellness center.

During this time I decided to do a little traveling and began noticing how herbs are such a part of daily life in other cultures. You would regularly see vendors provide everyday health tonics on street corners as well as more extensive herb shops in each neighborhood. Walking in you would be surrounded by huge bins of everyday herbs, roots, and bark for by the kilo purchase and behind the counter hundreds of little drawers holding mysterious contents for healing. The three herbalists would stay busy with lines that were often ten people deep throughout the day. They would consult with each client asking about their ailments and symptoms then proceed to create a special blend for each individual customer.

While I had used herbs before, this was unlike anything I had ever seen before. Over a month’s time they allowed me to observe and document some of these blends giving me my introduction to Far and Middle Eastern herb uses. I did not realize that this was later going to play such an important role in the following years.

In 2009 to our surprise my husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer and was advised to immediately have surgery. Although he was eating healthier since our marriage, he still was a meat and potatoes guy and loved his barbecue. With that and a genetic tendency to prostate cancer he fell to this diagnosis. We immediately lost confidence in the conventional approach as the doctor went through all the complications and quality of life issues that may arise from the procedure. His mentality was to get in there cut it out and deal with the consequences latter. We went for a second opinion with a doctor who believed in having patients be in optimal health before he would proceed with surgery. With his advice and my prompting we decided to try a natural approach before we proceeded with surgery and radiation.

During this time I was working on my Certification in Chinese Herbal Medicine and was able to put together blends from that and other herbal traditions to help combat his illness. We worked on changing his diet and adding powerful foods based on food healing science that contained tremendous therapeutic properties. With each passing year we would do a biopsy to see if there were any observable changes in the quantity and aggressiveness of the cancer cells. We are happy to say in three years time that my husband’s cancer has dramatically declined. Not only is he not requiring surgery, but his prostate size has been reduced by well over 30 % showing a reduction in the inflammation markers. The doctor was very impressed and with such a dramatic improvement wanted to know exactly what we were doing.

I truly believe in never underestimating the body’s ability to heal itself. When it is provided with the right components the body is designed to flourish and thrive. I have been able to experience personally the amazing healing that can take place. I look forward to sharing with you the knowledge that I have gained through the years.

Yours in health,
