Market News

Our first Vendor of the Day Event was a success! Thank you again Juanice from JavaGenesis Coffee Roasting for stopping by and sharing your great coffees with us! You can find all the coffees you tried at the tasting on the market except the Holiday Blend. The Holiday Blend will be available on the market sometime in November.

New Items:

A&A Fig Honey Balsamic Vinegar Jam -
This Fig-Honey Balsamic Jam is a fantastic balanced blend of sweet and savory! The jam gets its amazing flavor from figs, balsamic vinegar, honey and a drizzle of cracked black pepper. A&A Orange Rosemary Balsamic Jam
Oranges, Rosemary and White Balsamic are blended together to create this one of a kind, wonderfully sweet and tangy jam. All NATURAL: no artificial flavors or colors, no pectin and no preservatives! It’s a fabulous pairing for any cheese. Marinate or/and glaze your chicken or pork and grill or bake.

Water Buffalo – Flank Steak – Medium
For something a little different than beef, try water buffalo. Our 100% grass fed steaks are full of flavor, and while leaner than beef, are still marbled. Our buffalo live a specie-appropriate lifestyle and are humanely harvested. They are raised with love and respect, not hormones, antibiotics, or pesticides. Water buffalo meat is known for being a heart healthy red meat, nutrient dense and high in CLA (a good fat that helps our bodies to burn fat and fight cancer) and vitamins such as A, D3, and B. Keep in mind that this is not beef. The bite is slightly firmer, and the taste is sweet and flavorful without being gamey. It is very easy to overcook this meat. If you often cook grass fed beef or venison, chances are you’ll be just fine cooking buffalo. Searing or grilling are good cooking methods for our steaks, just be sure to take them off the heat one temperature sooner than desired and allow it to rest, covered, for 5-10 minutes (i.e., for med-rare, remove from heat at rare).

Volunteers Needed for a Community Event this Saturday!

Level Creek Elementary PTA is sponsoring a service project through Gwinnett Great Days of Service this Saturday, October 25th from 9am to 1pm. We will be planting 2 shade trees and constructing several raised garden beds as the initial phase of an outdoor classroom. Hopefully next Spring the students will be growing their own vegetables!

Our volunteer sign up has not come through as we expected and we are in need of more help! If any of you would have some time to volunteer or if you have high school or middle school children who need service hours for Student Council or Beta Club. This would be a great project for you to work on together and something they can take pride in our community!

Please email Nora by replying to this email or JoEllyn Robinson mattandje@gmail.com if you are interested or think you could give a few hours this Saturday to beautify Level Creek Elementary’s campus!

Thank you for your consideration in helping with this valuable community project!

Both my kids teams made it to the playoffs so depending on what happens this Saturday afternoon I might change the pick up time as early as this week. I will send out a notice to everyone as soon as I know for sure.

Assume for right now that it will be 5pm next week until further notice.

Thank you for your understanding!
